2/21 Weekly Report

This week we mainly focused on fleshing out our Verification and Validation paper. On Monday we met as a team to create an outline for the assignment, and discussed making a questionnaire for the individuals who will be testing our prototype. This questionnaire is attached on the next page and it will be extremely helpful for analyzing any design flaws, intuitive disconnects, or unforeseen issues we may have inadvertently created. On Wednesday we met again as a team- this time to begin writing our V&V paper. We wrote it using similar methodology as before where we each write verification paragraphs for each section of the paper and then proofread each other’s work once the sections were complete. We managed to nearly finish the entire verification section of the paper and will be meeting again this Friday morning to assure the bulk of the paper gets completed. The plan is to have it ready for a complete review by the time we meet with Dr. Klaesner on Monday.

Inflatable Wheelchair Seat Questionnaire

Test subjects will undergo three different iterations of getting out of a wheelchair. They will first get out of the wheelchair completely unaided, then they will get a chance to use the inflatable seat on their own, and finally they will use the inflatable seat device while also being helped by a caretaker.
